Rockwood Resort is a fantastic getaway from big cities.Rocky slopes of this resort that overlooks the lake is unique and fascinating.Aroma of all kinds of plants and greens are true representative of Muskoka.Owners are friendly and helpful.We have been there few times since 2003 and just love it.

For my wife and I, Ambleside is our home away from home. Peter and Sandra have created an atmosphere where you can truly unwind and relax by the beautiful lake and scenery. Close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away that it’s peaceful. We just got home today and are already counting down the days until next year.

Edit: I wrote this initial review 2 years ago and the ownership has changed since then. However I need to point out that the new owners are really great and have kept Ambleside a place we look forward to every year!

Ambleside resort is our go-to summer vacation spot. We haven’t missed a year since 2012. The cottages are up kept well. The grounds are beautiful. The owners are friendly and look after us well. If you’re looking for a cottage look no further.

Really nice! The owners are a bit strict on rules but still a fun place to spend a weekend 😜 We played music late into the night and never had problems so it’s cool. The views from the water here are sick too. Boat rentals are available so it’s easy to get out on the water. Kayaks, canoes and motorboats to choose from so lots of options. The fire pit is only a communal pit shared by everyone at the resort so that’s not what I’m used to but it makes for a fun night when y’all are dancing around the fire with new found friends 😂 Overall fire weekend and fire spot, would recommend

The cottage we stayed in at Pier 100 was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Beautiful view and great location. And the entire territory was treated for mosquito control, so you can relax 24/7 anywhere.

Pier 100 Resort in Muskoka was a nice and cozy place for our Thanksgiving fall trip. The owner was very friendly, nice and flexible. There are life jackets and kayaks. We had so much fun during the stay with beautiful scenery 😍
